204 days! =O

i can't believe that our wedding is in less than seven months!

our "done" list, thus far:
  • church
  • reception
  • dress & accessories (picking it up this wk!)
  • my wedding band
  • DJ
  • photographer
  • Dress for wedding rehearsal
  • Dress change for Reception (as much as I LOVE my dress, I couldn't imagine myself wearing it plus all the crinoline and my 4in heels for 12hrs)  after the formalities of introduction and dances, i'll probably be changing into my second dress, which is a complete opposite of my gown but I love it none the less.
next up for January:
  • invitations (narrowed down to 3 choices ... want to order by January so we can send them out by March, hopefully, but we haven't collected all our addresses yet!)
  • Pre-Cana & all the church documentation
  • bridesmaid dresses (leaning more toward the Bill Levkoff dresses instead of the David's Bridal dresses.. we'll be checking them out the end of January)
  • narrow down our choices for honeymoons (we're looking for all inclusive packages) so we'll probably opt for:
    • Aruba
    • St. Lucia
    • Riviera Maya
    • Jamaica
i've missed blogging

eventually i'll get around to posting Queen Mary 2 cruise pics and holiday pics...

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year everyone!

Hey - I'm getting Bill Levkoff dresses too! :) They're adorable for bridesmaids, plus you can get them from online discounters for pretty darn cheap. We found my style for $90 each.

hi!

the envelopements i found were at my-gatsby.com or mygatsby.com . they are called "pocketfold" invitations. the pretty blue-and-red one is considered a "petal" shaped. the diamond shaped one i found elsewhere. i will post that information when i get home. (i'm currently at work)

a great resource for Do-It-Yourself projects is weddingbee.com . They have tons of informations, sources to ask questions from other brides and almost always have sales listed or trunk shows.

acutally, if you roll your mouse pointer over each picture of an invite, the name of the file should pop up. i've listed most of them by the website i found them at along with pricing info [per 50] or the name of the invite on that website.

We stayed at Hotel Finisterra.  It was in a pretty good location, about a 10 min walk from downtown Cabo.

Oops, didn't mean to submit such a quick entry. Here's the rest of my comment:

I recommend staying around the Marina area - which is where all the nice restaurants and boats are.  Hotel Finisterra is only 3-star...decent and nice amenities...but since this will be your honeymoon, I'd suggest going with something better.  We went inside LaPlaya Grande resort (which was next door to our hotel) and it was reallllly nice.  It is five stars and all their rooms are suites.  The Tesoro resort is also really nice and located AT the Marina, but they don't have their own private beach.  However, there is also a large public beach called Medano beach.  (It is also very easy to sneak into another resort's beach).  I wouldn't recommend staying at the Hilton or Sheraton unless you plan on renting a car, b/c they are FAR AWAY from the central area.  There are lots of activities to do in Cabo: glass bottom water taxis, snorkeling, dual rider parasailing, sunset cruises, jet ski rentals, ATV's, surfing.  Very romantic and relaxing get-away.  We booked our package on Alaska Airlines.  They are still having their specials:  http://www.alaskaair.com/vacations/city.aspx?group=Mexico&city=Los%20Cabos . Good luck with the rest of your wedding planning, and congratulations!
